I have worked in Early Childhood Education and Care for 24 years. I started working with Singleton Pre-school in April 2023.
I believe in providing a warm, safe environment where I can foster children’s confidence, independence and autonomy through play based learning. My philosophy is to scaffold the children’s school readiness in a supportive environment where they will learn important social skills to make friends, ask questions and stand up for their rights (including their right to voice their opinion and provide input in relation to matters that affect them). By providing a child-focused curriculum I am able to foster a sense of belonging for each child.

I aim to create a calm, predictable environment where children feel secure and comfortable. I use gentle encouragement, take the time to build trusting relationships, and support children as they learn to understand and manage their emotions. I also value open, honest communication with families so we can work together to support each child.
I love spending time with my seven children and my husband, and we enjoy exploring the local area together. At home, I spend my time crafting, reading, cooking, and enjoy horse riding with my children in my free time.
Families can expect me to focus on fostering a safe, calm environment through warm, reciprocal and respectful relationships with them and their child. I understand that every child is unique and I will welcome every child, catering to their individual needs, skills, interests, culture and abilities.

My name is Sandie Braham and I have had the pleasure of working in the early childhood sector for 39 years, 23 of which have been at Singleton Pre-School.
I aim to support and create a culturally safe environment by inviting parents to have input into their child’s development through culture, communication and respect.
The foundations of my ethos are based on the International Convention on the Rights of the Child and the National Quality Standard, where child safety is paramount.
I am passionate about child-led learning and supporting children’s voices through everyday interactions, play and meaningful relationships.
I believe children have the right to be safe, nurtured and heard. I support this by creating an environment where children feel secure, valued and respected, and where their voices are actively listened to.
I build strong, trusting relationships with children and families and support cultural safety and inclusion in all aspects of my practice.
I am a mother of two daughters and understand the importance of trust and connection when families leave their children in our care. I value diversity and cultural inclusion in both my personal and professional life.
Families can expect an environment that is welcoming and inclusive, where their input is valued and their children are nurtured through child-led conversations, interests and experiences. I strive to create strong, respectful partnerships with families built on trust and communication.

- Child Protection Certificate (CHCPRT025).

- Foundations of Child Safety Training.
I have worked in Early Childhood Education and Care for 21 years and have proudly been part of the Singleton Pre-School family throughout that time.
I love building relationships with the children and making them feel like they belong through warm interactions. One of the things I love most is when the children knock on my window to have a chat or excitedly share something they want to tell or show Miss Ali.
I enjoy watching the children develop their social skills, independence and building relationships with their friends.
I contribute to creating a child-safe environment where children feel listened to, supported and confident communicating with trusted adults. I aim to be someone who validates their interests, feelings and concerns.
I am a Singleton local, born and bred. My husband and I have raised our three children here. I am also a qualified first aid trainer, delivering training to the local community including our Preschool, other centres, doctor surgeries and businesses both here and the surrounding areas. I love my dog Ollie more than anything, as well as being with my family.
Families can expect to feel supported by me making sure they feel respected. I will always make myself available to anyone who needs a chat or to listen if needed. I will always provide an environment where families feel welcome and accepted and strive to build strong connections.
